(Colombo Lankapuvath) The Visiting Indian Army Chief V K Singh became one of the most senior regional officers to visit the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) at Diyatalawa.
The Indian Chief along with his delegation was accompanied by Commander of the Sri Lanka Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya, they were warmly received by the SLMA grounds by Brigadier J.R. Kulatunge, Commandant, SLMA and his wife, Mrs Kulatunge on their arrival yesterday (08).
The visiting Army Chief afterwards commemorated fallen War Heroes before the SLMA war memorial after laying floral wreaths. The moment remained solemn as other visiting Army delegates also joined afterwards.
The delegation toured the Academy in order to get a glimpse of the process in line at the Academy and they also visited the SLMA library and special language learning support laboratory. 
Later on the day the Indian Army Chief and his delegation paid homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha at the Sri Dalada Maligawa on his visit to Kandy.
