Uvatenna Sumana Thera released on bail
(Colombo-Lankapuvath) The Venerable Uvatenna Suman Thera of the Bodhirajarama Viharaya was released on bail on Monday (13).
The thera was arrested after the STF had allegedly found weapons and explosives hidden in the Bodhiraja Viharaya, during the Presidential Election Campaign.

Sakvithi and wife further remanded
(Colombo Lankapuvath) Abaya Ranasinghe Mudiyanselage Chandana Weerakumara alias Sakvithi Ranasinghe and his wife JP Kumari Anuradhini were further remanded by Gangodawila, Nugegoda Magistrate and Additional District Judge Rohana Anura Kumara Herath when the case was taken for trial.
At the same time, the Additional District Judge also ordered to auction all properties including the printing machines lying in the Anuradhini printers maintained on Ambuldeniya, Madiwela road by Sakvithi finance institute and credit the proceeds to the Sakvithi case account.
