GISM towards the economic development of the country

(Colombo, Lankapuvath) - The Graduate Institute of Science and Management (GISM) celebrated its first anniversary recently.

Marking the first anniversary the GISM, launched important additional sections, ‘GISM Research Centre’ and the ‘Professional development Centre’ to strengthen industry academic partnership.

The Founder and the President of the GISM Prof. G G Senaratne said these two centres, through their activities will contribute greatly to the economic development of the country.

Through these new centres GISM is to connect scientists, researches together with industries to solve their problems and enhance production outcome of their business, the professor said.

GISM will introduce modern education and knowledge systems with the state-of-art technology through professional network jointly with local professional and prestigious international Universities.

There is evidence from the developed nations that many of the Educational, Industrial, Commercial, Social and Cultural needs have been addressed through careful planning, working and implementing study results of Researches in the relevant fields, the professor added.

The GISM entered into three Memorandum of Understandings with Nikini Automation, Graphic Systems and NNN TV.

The GISM campus Sri Lanka is a local-international collaboration. Among GISM's international partnerships is New Zealand's premier University, Massey.
