(Colombo-Lankapuvath) The Department of Immigration and Emigration will seek Interpol assistance to trace lost or stolen passports to prevent illegal activities, Department sources said.
In a bid to effect the system, the department will share a travel document related data with a link to Interpol.
Linking with Interpol to search and trace such passport is a novel steps initiated by the Department, they added.
