(Colombo Lankapuvath)The second anniversary to mark the victory of the humanitarian operation against the LTTE will be held at the Galle Face Green on May 27,the Media Center for National Security(MCNS) disclosed at a news conference in Colombo.
Director MCNS,Lakshman Hulugalle said President Mahinda Rajapaksa would grace the occasion as Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces and the Police.
Hulugalle added that a one month period from May 19 -June 19 would be dedicated to remember all war heroes and flags would be distributed in their memory during that period.
Another momentous occasion will be held at Kotte on May 27 to pay tribute to fallen war heroes, Hulugalle noted.
