(Colombo Lankapuvath)The Health Ministry warns that there is a risk of dengue epidemic spreading through the vehicles coming into the Colombo suburbs, mainly from private buses, vans and lorries carrying goods.
It is reported that the most number of Dengue patients are examined around Colombo suburbs.
When these vehicles that come to Colombo are stopped for a long time, there is a possibility of mosquitoes entering into them.
The Ministry further added that they would be then transferred into other places, where then there is a possibility of the spread of the epidemic.
Accordingly, the Ministry requests the public to be more vigilant.
