(Colombo-Lankapuvath) A seminar was recently held at the Atomic Energy Authority auditorium to raise awareness among the scientists, managers, researchers and government high officials about the advantages and viability of using nuclear technology for ocean pollution management.
The key note speaker of this conference which was held in collaboration of Marine Pollution Prevention Authority was Dr. Riffat Qureshi of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Moreover, training on sample taking for marine pollution measurement was given to the
officials of Marine Pollution Prevention Authority and Atomic Energy Authority at the Panadura, Wadduwa coast under the supervision of Dr. Quereshi.
