(Colombo Lankapuvath)Dr.Charitha Herath assumed duties as the new Secretary to the Media Ministry this morning.
Earlier, he served as a Lecturer at the Peradeniya University,Consultant to the Media Ministry and Chairman of the Central Environmental Authority before being appointed as Secretary Ministry by President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Dr.Herath also served in the Directorate of Lake House and Lankapuvath News Agency in addition to being a director of Salacine Ltd.
