President gives electricity rate concessions

(Colombo-lankapuvath) President Mahinda Rajapaksa addressing the May Day rally of the UPFA at Campbell Park announces relied to electricity consumers who carefully used electricity.
He said nothing will be increased to the consumers below 60 units and concessions will be grant  to consumers between 61-180 units.

It reminds us about the wonder of the earth linked to the activity of the Sun, he mentioned in his message while stating that Sri Lankans nurtured by an agricultural lifestyle received the new year meaningfully and gained delight and enjoyment.

President declares open Mattala Airport

President denies Army killed Balachandran

(Colombo-Lankapuvath)Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa has denied that the Army killed LTTE chief Prabakaran’s 12-year-old son Balachandran.
“Had it happened, I would have known [it]. It is obvious that if somebody [from the armed forces] had done that, I must take responsibility. We completely deny it. It can’t be,” he told The Hindu in an exclusive interview.

President orders to release two Jaffna University students
